Yesterday, March 12, was not just another Thursday for the ASA GROUP INDONESIA family. Instead of the usual office routine, we traded our desks for a chance to connect with something much bigger than ourselves at the Bina Kasih Social Foundation for the Elderly and Orphans.
Under the theme “Sharing Happiness, Weaving Togetherness,” our team gathered to bring some happiness to those who need it most.
The afternoon was filled with more than just donations; it was filled with stories. From the wisdom shared by the elderly residents to the bright, hopeful smiles of the children, every interaction reminded us of the power of a simple visit.
During our visit, we heard a story that touched everyone’s hearts. The caregivers shared a moment when one of the children came home crying because a classmate told them they didn’t have a father. Without hesitation, the caregiver went straight to the school to pick the child up, standing tall to let everyone know that this child does have a family and a protector here at the foundation.
This story deeply moved our Director, Mr. Lukman, who took a moment to express his profound gratitude to the staff at Bina Kasih.
“To the caregivers here at Bina Kasih, I want to say a profound thank you,” said Mr. Lukman. “The patience and dedication you show every single day is truly extraordinary. Thank you for helping them, for taking such wonderful care of them, and for your selfless service. You are the true heart of this place.”
The generosity shown by everyone in the office was truly moving. We didn’t just go there to donate we went there to listen and to learn. It’s these moments of human connection that truly define who we are as a company.
After a meaningful afternoon of service, the energy shifted toward internal celebration. We capped off the day with a team outing and a shared dinner. A perfect way to reflect on the day’s experiences and strengthen the bonds.
